What is the role of NF-κB in early mammalian development? How are early cell fate decisions modulated by the abundance and the dynamics of NF-κB?
If NF-κB is critical for early embryonic patterning in species such as Drosophila, Xenopus, and Zebrafish, why is so little known about it during early mammalian development? My PhD project wants to understand understand this. I'm using mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs) and a combination of immunofluorescence, bulk-cell techniques, and live cell imaging answer these questions.
